Animal Readings For Terminally Ill Pets
~ When a human is told they have a terminal illness and that their time here on earth is limited, those who care about them visit, reminisce, and share. Many also view this as a time to express their feelings, whether they be of love and appreciation or apologies and explanations.
~ When a human is told their pet has a terminal illness, there is no process. Many people just feel helpless. They view their pet as their child, yet find little guidance for this situation.
Connecting With Your Pet
We receive many requests from pet owners seeking an Animal Reading to communicate with a terminally ill pet. We believe this service is a respectful way to honor the relationship between human and animal.
The vast majority of people want to know what their pet is experiencing and if there is anything they can do for them during this time. Without fail, just like with humans, many of these pets want to share some of their favorite experiences with their beloved owners. They want us to focus on their life, their personality, what makes them who they are to us.
A horse who was the subject of one of these sessions asked if he could now have donuts every week. Turns out one of the attendees of this group phone reading secretly fed him a donut now and then and, unbeknownst to the rest of the group, this was his favorite treat!
In another session, a dog told his owner, "I loved doing agility with you, that is not why I'm sick." The owner revealed she had been guilt ridden convinced that all of the agility training she did with this dog somehow caused his bone cancer.
Reviews
"I booked an Animal Reading for my horse who was terminally ill. After consulting with my vet, we knew there was no solution and it appeared he was suffering, so we had made plans to euthanize him. This horse had been with us for over 20 years and I wanted a way to reach out to him before this.
The day of the reading we put Susan on speaker phone. My horse who had been so lethargic and weak suddenly came to life! He greeted all of us and somehow became the animated self he always used to be. It's like he knew he was going to be given the opportunity to speak to all of us.
Through Susan, he talked about significant moments in his life as a show horse. He wanted all of us to know how much he loved performing. He even bragged about how he got to go to the 'big show'. In the barn, everyone refers to the Nationals in Oklahoma as the 'big show'. He mentioned that he knew he was a 'teacher' to me, more than just horse lessons. I had always referred to him that way, he helped me grow in so many ways.
When asked if there was anything special he would like, Susan mentioned he really liked the fruit pastry. One member of the group had been secretly feeding him a donut now and then. He asked if he could have more jelly donuts, we all laughed! That was his personality.
There was an immense sense of closure and peace in knowing that he understood what was happening to him. He knew he was ill and his body was failing. This made it much easier to go through with the process of ending his pain.
We were all thankful to share with our beloved horse one last time those moments we remember most about him. Thank you Susan."

"I wanted to thank you for the reading you did for my dog Bella. I was glad we were able to communicate with her prior to the euthanization. This was the first time we have had to euthanize a pet and your reading made it a more peaceful experience.
I think with your help, my other animals really understood it was Bella's time and they have been so much better now. I believe thay know now why she had to leave them.
I hope people in similar circumstances can get the comfort we experienced through a session with you. I am truly thankful there are people like you out there to assist both people and animals with situations like this."
